Legal
Cookies
One strictly-necessary infrastructure cookie is set when you load this site. No analytics cookie, no advertising cookie, and no visitor identifier retained by us.
Draft — pending legal review. Not yet in force.
What is set when you load a page
Our content delivery network sets a single strictly-necessary cookie, __cf_bm, to distinguish automated traffic from human traffic and to protect the site from abuse. It is set by the network on our behalf as part of serving the page, it expires within the hour, and it is not used to profile you, to measure you across sites, or to build an advertising audience.
Nothing else is set on load. We set no analytics cookie and no advertising cookie, we load no third-party fonts, and we run no advertising, remarketing or session-replay script. We retain no visitor identifier of our own.
Analytics
Our analytics are cookieless, aggregate and processed on our own servers. They count page views and form outcomes. They do not set anything on your device, do not store your IP address or raw user agent, and cannot be tied back to an individual.
The booking widget
Booking is handled by a third-party scheduling provider. Its script is not requested, and its cookies are not set, until you click to load it on /contact. If you never click, nothing is sent to that provider — not a request, not a referrer, nothing.
Once you load it, the provider sets cookies in its own context, under its own notice, to operate the calendar and record your booking. If you would rather not, write to the desk instead and we will send times by email.
Table of what may be set
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| __cf_bm | Our CDN, on page load | Strictly necessary. Separates automated from human traffic; abuse protection. | Under 1 hour |
| Provider cookies | Booking provider, only after you click to load the widget | Operating the calendar and recording a booking | Set under the provider’s own notice |
Your choices
Because the only cookie set on load is strictly necessary to deliver the site securely, we do not show a consent banner for it; consent is not the lawful basis and a banner offering a choice that does not exist would be misleading. The one genuine choice — the booking widget — is behind an explicit click.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time. Doing so does not break this site. Questions go to privacy@birdtold.me.
